Our winemaker and consultants are as diverse as our wines and implement advanced viticulture and oenological techniques to suit the requirements of our unique terroir, and our products to provide product consistency and quality.
Our focus is on new world style wines. This is achieved through a combination of procedures, beginning with the selection of grapes from our vineyards through to the execution of advanced winemaking techniques.
2nd 2 None wines reflect a synthesis of old world and new world wine making styles. They reflect vibrancy, they evoke memories and they stir emotions. Our wines have personalities that surprise and excite, and they challenge and demand the extremes of spontaneity and discipline from our winemaking team.
The 2nd 2 None range of wines are remarkably aromatic, perfectly balanced, velvety smooth and refreshingly crisp. We aim for good expression of the fruit with a fine hint of oak, together with smoothness and length on the palate. We want our wines to say:
“Here we are – the best expression of grapes the region can offer. Enjoy us.”
The Product Range
Today, the product range consists of the 2nd 2 None traditional style of wines, low alcohol wines and a range infused with botanicals such as ginger etc. plus the fortified range.
The concept to develop the infused range of wines evolved in 2000 and research and development began in earnest in 2001.
The infused range of wines reached fruition in 2004 when the first of three infused wines were released (IQ, Gee Spot, Buddy). The following year another two infused wines joined the range (Bedtime Bliss, Yellow Tango) followed by a sparkling (Ginger Zinger and Nite Cap) and Ginger Crush.
The range now consists of Ginger Crush, Ginger Zinger. Each wine has its own identity and personality. The infused range evokes emotions, recollections and pleasures. These wines truly are a memorable experience.
The range is constantly changing due to the availability of herbs and more importantly, Mother Nature. Keep watching to see what we will release next.
